چکیده

We examine incentives for innovation from learning-by-doing for photovoltaic cell producers. Industry structure and insights from interviews are reflected in a two-period and two-stage model. Equipment suppliers decide on the price level for innovative manufacturing devices. Cell producers invest in new production lines and chose the share of innovative production equipment. Policy instruments that increase confidence in future market size increase innovation, while unexpected current demand reduces innovation. Competing innovative manufacturing equipment suppliers can explore and select multiple innovative ideas, but fail to appropriate the full innovation benefits. This can be compensated with public support for innovation in the production process. ∗[email protected](Dept. of Economics, Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge CB3 9DE, UK), [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. Quantum Mechanical Calculations of Photovoltaic and Photoelectronic Properties of Oligoselenophene/Fullerene BHJ Solar Cells

To model the active layer in the hetero-junction solar cells, the C60, C70, PC60BM, PCBDAN fullerenes as acceptor, and (OS)n=1) oligoselenophenes as donor were considered. The (OS)n=14/C60, (OS)n=14/C70, (OS)n=14/PC60BM, and (OS)n=14/PCBDAN blends as a model of the active layer in the BHJ solar cell were chosen, and the optoelectronic properties were studied. The calculated efficiency of these ...

Investigation of Photovoltaic Properties of 1,8-Naphthalimide Dyes in Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

In this paper we selected two metal-free dyes (Dye 1 and Dye 2) based on 1,8-naphthalimide. The proposed dyes were sensitized from acenaphthene as the starting material by standard reactions. Spectrophotometric measurements of the organic dyes in DMF and on TiO2 substrate were carried out in order to assess changes in the status of the dyes. Maximum absorption wavelengths for Dye...
